POZnan Gran Turismo Polonia is a four day motoring and lifestyle event which takes place in Poznan in Poland. Among many activities its main element is driving on the Tor Poznan racetrack. Aimed at both newcomers to track venues and more experienced drivers, our goal is to give the drivers a good opportunity to improve their driving skills and have a good time both on and off the track.

5th Anniversary special events

As you might probably know, this is the fifth edition of GT Polonia. The event has gone from a small track day to now being officially regarded the most important motor event for supercars in Poland. This calls for a celebration, and we are happy to announce some very special events during this years event.

Public display in central Poznan!

We are proud to present the city of Poznan, with the slogan "city of know how", as the official partner for POZnan GT Polonia. With the kind help from the city administration we are able to create a special event that is a first for any Polish city.

On Sunday the 28th of June we are closing a part of central Poznan for public display of the cars and creating a 1200 meter "track" on public roads!

This is done on Sunday the 28th June between 15.00 and 19.00 near "Zamek" in Poznan. Everyone is invited!

5th Anniversary Party - with a special surprise!

To celebrate the fifth POZnan GT Polonia in style we are throwing a party with a special surprise on monday the 29th June. Expect a party a bit out of the ordinary since we have a lot to celebrate! All participants of POZnan GT Polonia - this year and past events - are welcome to join.

POZnan Gran Turismo Polonia is a four day motoring and lifestyle event which takes place in Poznan in Poland. Among many activities its main element is driving on the Tor Poznan racetrack. Aimed at both newcomers to track venues and more experienced drivers, our goal is to give the drivers a good opportunity to improve their driving skills and have a good time both on and off the track.

Participants

Participants have mainly been Scandinavian owners of supercars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Maserati and Dodge Viper, but we also have people attending from other parts of europe and as far away as the United States. Starting last year we are seeing an increased interest in the event from other parts of europe.

Welcome to Poland

Accomodation for everyone is set up in Andersia Hotel, which is located in the city centre. The hotel parking lot has greatly improved its security measures for this event, which is necessary since the total value of the participants cars well exceeds 10 million euros.

The event starts with a briefing and welcoming dinner at the hotel, and ends with a gala dinner with prize giving at a restaurant in Poznan.

Dinners are served in traditional Polish environments, hopefully showing Polish culture and hospitality at its best.

At the track

The main object for our driving sessions on Tor Poznan is to find the ideal line of the track. The ideal line consists of positioning, breaking points, turn-in points and curve apexes. We have a total of three days on the track.

The track is reserved for beginners between 9-10 every morning and lunch is available in the hospitaly area between 11.30 and 13.30. We follow open pit lane regulations which will maximize your time on the track.

If you run into any problems with your car, we have set up a mobile workshop in the central area of the pit. Our team of experienced racing mechanics can help you with anything from changing tires and brakepads to more serious issues.

Examination will take place directly after lunch the third day on the track.

For practical reasons, the number of participants is limited to approximately 65 cars, of which all are booked at this time.

Whats included

The course fee for POZnan GT Polonia 2009 is SEK 16900 + VAT (roughly EUR 1600). Included in the fee: track driving and instruction, accomodation in Andersia Hotel for 4 nights with breakfast, heavily guarded parking for your car, lunches at the track, welcome dinner, gala dinner, diploma and lots of fun. The fee can be invoiced to your company.

Even though POZnan GT Polonia is a closed event there are numerous opportunities to experience the beauty and power of exotic supercars.

Sopot 27/28 June

The first opportunity to see large quantities of horsepower is in Sopot on sunday 28th of June. All participants attending the pre-party are leaving toghether at 10.00 from Grand Hotel Sopot to Poznan.

Poznan 28th of June by Centrum Kultury Zamek

The best opportunity is in Poznan, by Centrum Kultury Zamek on Sunday the 28th of June between 15.00 and 19.00. Cars will be on display and using the temporary "track" built on Sw Marcin and Aleja Niepodleglosci. We expect over 50 supercars to attend this very special event which is a first for any Polish city.

During the entire stay in Poznan 28th June - 2 July

Selected cars (around eight or so) will be parked outside Andersia Hotel during evenings and nights. Be kind to the really big men with earpieces and you will come close enough to take good pictures.
